Meet Samantha Coleman, Traditions’ August Employee of the Month! Samantha was born in Grand Rapids and raised in both Grand Rapids and Petoskey, Michigan, which is known for its natural beauty and extraordinary sunsets.
Samantha has worked at the newly opened, Quincy Place Senior Living in Holland, Michigan, for just over a month as their Dining Room Manager.
She has two beautiful daughters, Alaya (11) and Adriyen (9) whom she loves spending time with when she isn’t working.
“I am a huge fan of anything outdoors,” said Samantha. “I love kayaking, camping, fishing, and swimming! I also have a hidden talent; I am very artistic.”
When asked what she likes most about being Quincy Place’s Dining Room Manager, Samantha smiled and said, “Every day is different; it’s never boring.” Chuckling, she added, “Also, I love the exercise!”
“Sam has been willing to clean rooms, sweep floors, wash windows, and has sorted through hundreds of keys,” said Laura Kelling, Executive Director, on why she nominated Samantha.
“None of these tasks are in her job description, but she has been willing to jump right in and be a complete team player, helping out anywhere and everywhere.”
