"As a former pastor, I spent a great deal of time counseling families faced with placing their loved ones in a senior living community, often due to illness, but also due to the inability for their loved one to be taken care of by immediate family. I witnessed the struggle from the children making the decision as well as the challenges and fears of the loved one adjusting to the decision. I recently went through this with my mother-in-law who had Alzheimer's, and this only deepened my passion and resolve to help families by doing what I can to deliver the utmost care and compassion for them and their loved ones during this life transition.
